The Maine Equestrian Trails Alliance was formed in early 2008 for the purpose of providing a voice for Maine's equestrian trail riders at the state level, to promote communication and cooperation with other trail user groups, and to create a Bridge Materials Grant Program to encourage the construction of horse-safe bridges on Maine trails.
